The Road & Bridge department is responsible for maintaining the condition of over 200 miles of roads within the county's approved maintenance plan, as well as performing selected road construction projects, and other special construction projects as requested by the Clear Creek County Board of Commissioners. Winter maintenance includes snow removal from roadways, ice and water control, sanding icy conditions and some avalanche control. Summer maintenance involves grading of roadways, replacement or addition of road surface materials i.e.., road base, gravel, or asphalt, and some water control.
