The Road and Bridge Department is responsible for maintaining the condition of over 200 miles of roads within the County’s approved maintenance plan, as well as performing Capital Improvement projects and other special construction projects as requested by the Clear Creek Board of County Commissioners.
Winter maintenance includes snow removal from roadways, ice and water control, sanding icy conditions, and some avalanche control. Summer maintenance involves the grading of roadways; the replacement or addition of road surface materials such as road base, gravel, asphalt. In addition, erosion and water control are addressed during Summer operations.
