[ARCHIVED] 1st Confirmed Case in Clear Creek County

COVID-19 

March 13, 2020 - Clear Creek County officials have been advised through Denver Public Health that a person who resides in Clear Creek County has tested positive for COVID-19 (Coronavirus), which was contracted outside the County.  The person and their spouse are currently self-quarantining at their residence.  It should be noted that this case of the virus is posing mild symptoms, and there is no need for hospitalization.  Clear Creek Public Health and other county officials are currently monitoring the situation.

According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), 80% of those affected by the virus will experience mild symptoms, which can be remedied using over the counter medication.  Those who are experiencing more severe symptoms should call their primary care physician.
