March 18, 2020 - Clear Creek County Communications, Colo. – Clear Creek’s Board of County Commissioners approved Resolution 20-26 yesterday declaring a local disaster emergency, which enables the County to activate certain response plans; and, makes the County eligible for funds and resources that may become available to support the response for the COVID-19 pandemic. This action is in-line with the State of Colorado’s Emergency Declaration March 11, 2020, and the U.S. National Emergency Declaration March 13, 2020.
In addition to today’s declaration, the County’s Incident Management Team (which meets regularly and consists of Public & Environmental Health, Law Enforcement, First Responders and Senior Staff) determined it was necessary to close most County buildings to the public—beginning March 17, 2020, Noon---until April 1, 2020. At that time, the closures will be re-evaluated and a decision made as to whether or not to continue the closures. These steps were taken to be in the best interest of the public’s health and safety—and, to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community. During this time, limited services will be available via phone and/or internet to limit in-person interaction.
