Health and Wellness Center
As of October 2021, residents in Clear Creek County have a brand-new facility where they can access multiple different branches of health care under one roof. Located at 1969 Miner Street in Idaho Springs, the Clear Creek County Health and Wellness Center is an all-in approach to collaborative care and could become the new model for rural health care delivery.
It is estimated that the new center will receive 14,710 primary health care visits per year. The increase in capacity and collaboration is expected to directly impact an average of 4,695 residents per year.
In addition to the large aging population, adults with disabilities make up 10 percent of Clear Creek County and Gilpin County populations. The new center will provide local health services for the well-being of those residents with specific health care needs.
Clear Creek County Public Health is now accepting health insurance for services. Public Health currently accepts Medicaid, Medicare Part B, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Healthcare. Services are provided on a sliding fee scale for patients who are uninsured, underinsured or prefer to self-pay. Some services are available at no cost for patients who are uninsured or underinsured. No one is ever denied services due to inability to pay.
